june 1

june is...

barbeques
anticipation of the summer solstice
celebrating
the ice cream machine in constant rotation
flip flops and dirty feet
sunglasses
cool evenings
harvest of spring crops
creative salads (more on that soon)
a short trip to minneapolis
new skirts
late nights

tell me what june is for you in the comments, or leave a link to your blog post about it.

  6. I like the anticipation of the longer days.
lettuce from my garden, sitting on my deck; iced americanos, the end of school and no packed lunches.

  10. the beginning of the dry season - less rain, more heat and dust: saying goodbye to seeing the mountains across the lake

piles of mandarins in the market: 15 for 40 cents
--> sores in my mouth from eating too many mandarins
--> loving the fact that local mandarins are yellow and green on the outside, that they haven't flown across the ocean

tastier tomatoes than during rainy season
